ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST

A satirical comedy by Dario Fo
Based on an adaptation by Ed Emery
Directed by Barry Lefort

An irrepressible fraudster known only as the Maniac is brought
into Police Headquarters just as the officers are preparing
for a judicial review of the recent ‘accidental’ death of a suspect in custody.

Outwitting his captors, the maniac dupes them into performing
a farcical recreation of the incident, exposing the absurd institutional corruption
and abuses of power within Government and the Judiciary
and the terrifying idiocy at the heart of the system.

Season 1:  EXIT LAUGHING
A comedy by Paul Elliott.  Directed by Andrew Govey.  Assistant Director – Karen Tropiano
When the biggest highlight in your life for the past 30 years has been your weekly bridge night out with the “girls”, what do you do when one of your foursome inconveniently dies?
If you’re Connie, Leona and Millie, three southern ladies from Birmingham, you do the most daring thing you’ve ever done. You “borrow” the ashes from the funeral home for one last card game, and the wildest, most exciting night of your lives involves a police raid, a stripper and a whole new way of looking at all the fun you can have when you’re truly living.

Season 3:  ALADDIN
A musical pantomime adapted by Ben Crocker. Directed by Gwen Browning.
Musical Director – Madeleine Innis.  Choreography – Fiona Scott & Madison Scott.

Based on the original fairy tale from One Thousand and One Nights, the plot centres around the wicked wizard Abanazar who has spent years searching for a magic lamp.
Guided by the Genie of the Ring, he learns that only Aladdin, a poor washerwoman’s son, can enter the enchanted jewel filled cave, so he disguises himself as Aladdin’s long-lost uncle and spirits him away, to find the magic lamp. But all they find is a dirty old lamp that possesses extraordinary magical powers.
The production promises plenty of laughs, toe-tapping numbers, engaging comic roles, a Kung-fu Princess, a lively laundry scene and a mischievous panda. You are encouraged to boo the villain and cheer for our hero in this fun-filled pantomime.

Season 4:  DEATHTRAP
A dramatic thriller by Ira Levin. Directed by Gordon Park.
Comfortably ensconced in his charming Connecticut home, Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, is struggling to overcome a dry spell which has resulted in a string of failures and a shortage of funds.
A possible break in his fortunes occurs when he receives a script from a student in the seminar he has been conducting at a nearby college—a thriller that Sidney recognizes immediately as a potential Broadway smash. Sidney’s plan, devised with his wife’s help, is to offer collaboration to the student for co-credit. Or is it?

After angering Zeus, the Fates, the goddess sisters who spin, measure, and snip the strings of life for every human on Earth, find themselves banished to a modern office building in the mortal world, where they continue their work hidden among the mortals whose destinies they weave into one giant, glorious tapestry.
When eldest sister Atropos accidentally loses her pair of scissors in the building, she meets Mickey, the building’s overnight security guard. Soon love gets the better of her, and she finds herself falling for him, stealing his string to keep him immortal and defying all the rules she must follow as a goddess. This exception to the rules begins to disrupt the natural order—can the tapestry of the Universe and her sisters
stand this flaw?
