This original take on the Lewis Carroll classic, includes all your favourite characters from both Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass.
We start in the sitting room of the Liddell sisters’ home with Lorina and Alice arguing. Upon seeing a very peculiar white rabbit dance across the stage Alice, and her cat Dinah, follow, unwittingly entering Wonderland.
Alice meets the sister rulers – Lorina, Queen of Hearts and Edith, Queen of Diamonds, a Mad Hatter, a White Rabbit, Duchess, a very hapless Knave who has stolen tarts, the Tweedle sisters, Cheshire Cat and a very sassy flower.
She partakes of a Caucus Race with a bunch of creatures, joins a mad tea party, steals a baby who turns into a pig, joins the trial and somehow finds herself facing the Jabberwocky and learning the truth about herself and her sisters.
Each of the young actors in this show play two roles – their real-life persona and their Wonderland alter ego.
The show is set to an original soundtrack written by 19-year-old Hannah-Jade who also plays Edith/Queen of Diamonds.
