Playlovers presents the Junior Broadway Production ‘Into The Woods Jnr’.
Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical.
A night of Stephen Sondheim in two parts. This youth production sees a cast aged 12 to 17 years bring to life Into the Woods Jnr but wait there’s more! To whet the appetite of the audience members they will firstly witness a bonus performance inspired by some of Sondheim’s greatest show tunes!
Act One sees this talented cast performing songs from several of Stephen Sondheim’s stellar musicals. Songs such as “Comedy Tonight” from A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, “Putting It Together” from Sunday In The Park With George and everyone’s favourite “Send In The Clowns” from A Little Night Music will have everyone primed for a blockbuster second act.
In Act Two Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairy-tale comes to life – but be careful what you wish for! In this adaptation of their ground-breaking and Tony Award-winning musical, Into the Woods Jnr features all of your favourite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk), the Wolf, Rapunzel and the Witch. This sophisticated score adapted for young performers makes this lyrically rich retelling of the classic Brothers Grimm fables a show not to be missed!

PARKING:
Below are a couple of maps of Mt Lawley SHS showing where to park and where the Tricycle Theatre is located in relation to the carpark area.
There is plenty of parking at the end of Learoyd St on the ECU side. Access from the carpark at ECU is through the gates immediately opposite the carpark which is at the back of the high school. The Tricycle Theatre is then to the right once you have gone through the gates.
