Three One Act Plays (short plays)

A LITTLE LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING
Written by Johnny Grim. Directed by Emily Keys.
Mike Burrows’ wife is ready to call curtains on their long-term marriage. Having no idea as to why, Mike decides to seek counsel from his kids. They being best placed to understand the thought processes of middle-aged women. Mike’s friends, Tim and Eddie elect to join the planned meeting, in the hope they may pick up some tips that may prove useful in their own relationships.

JILTED LOVERS HOTLINE
Written by Johnny Grim. Directed by Gryphen Billington.
Along with organisations such as ‘Beyond Blue’ and ‘The Samaritans Helpline’, there’s another lesser-known organisation providing service to the community. The ‘Jilted Lovers Community Help Centre’, is a recent addition to the Government’s ‘Family Care and Planning Network’, providing an avenue for ‘dumped lovers’ to re-build their broken hearts.

PLAYING FOR SHEEP STATIONS
Written and directed by Audrey Poor.
Bingo is a serious game. Especially for the ladies who are entrapped inside their nursing home, with little to bide their time with apart from shuffleboard and reading the newspaper. And honestly, who knows how to play Shuffleboard? Octavia, Eileen and Dolores are the best bingo team around. Until one of the team members gets replaced, then it turns into a game of revenge.
