Groovy Boots Theatre engaged TAZ Tix to handle ticketing arrangements for its professional production of Dimboola in 2010. We found the service to be exemplary with director Melanie DeCull often going above and beyond the call of duty in her services. Not only did she accommodate the booking arrangements over the phone and online with professionalism and enthusiasm, she also had to contend with the fact the play is set at a wedding and presented as dinner-theatre. This created greater challenges - akin to making table arrangements for a *real* wedding - in terms of seating people and their guests together as appropriate, managing last-minute changes and unexpected additional guests, along with sorting out who had the regular or vegetarian meals (and, in one case, a vegan meal). Ms DeCull was on-hand for all eight performances, helping to make these arrangements, liaising with kitchen staff, cast and crew on the audience's requirements. As various shows sold out, she created waiting lists and a database for any future productions. On top of all that, she even lent the kitchen staff a hand on occasion, helping them to serve the hundreds of guests that saw the production. As co-director of Dimboola, both myself and fellow director Phil Barnett are in no doubt the sell-out success was due in no small part due to TAZTix and its absolute commitment to accommodating our theatre's requirements, as well as the audience's. TAZTix will be our first port-of-call for any productions staged by Groovy Boots Theatre in the future. Chris Thomas

TAZ Entertainment, and its proprietor, Melanie DeCull have provided fantastic support to the performing arts industry in Perth and beyond for many years. Melz' development of her company is commendable on many levels, and has been closely linked to the capacity of performing arts organisations to promote themselves and ticket their shows. Don Russell Performing Arts Centre has used TAZ Entertainment on many occasions to advertise its events. Although it does not require the TAZ tickets service, DRPAC is using the same ticketing system and finds its easy, efficient and low cost.
